Programmer

Job Summary: Create control code that will allow our Unified Communications project customers to interface with the installed audio and visual equipment that was designed and installed by the Unified Communications team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and development of custom graphical user interface (GUI) on control system touch panels.
  • Develop systems integration programs for Crestron, QSC and Extron.
  • Gather programming requirements from project team and client.
  • Responsible for reading through the project scope, material list and CAD drawings to fully understand what the customer expectations are when utilizing the systems.
  • Develop the touch panel layouts and flow documents which will indicate how the touch panel will control the system once fully installed. The documents are submitted to both the Project Manager and Designer for review before final programming is installed into the completed AV racks. Testing code will be done in-house before the racks are delivered onsite.
  • Work onsite and/or remotely with the installation team to finish up final code/fix any issues and provide remote support to service techs when there are future programming issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex audio, video switching and control systems.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as well as a clean and organized work environment.
  • Help build programming standards; logic flows and templates.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of AV (audiovisual) programming or design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of C#, HTML, JavaScript experience preferred but not required.
  • Crestron, QSC & Extron programming knowledge required. AMX highly preferred.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLAN, and VPN)
  • Extensive professional and commercial AV equipment and systems knowledge
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent time management skills
