Rack Fabrication Technician

Job Summary: The role of the Rack Fabrication Technician is to provide build, develop and execute coordination of equipment, materials and drawings required for the integration of audiovisual systems for Solutionz Inc. customers. This work will be done at a Solutionz branch or customer’s facility and involves inventory of equipment and materials to be available on time to meet integration schedules. The Rack Fabrication Technician is responsible for building the equipment rack fabrication for projects in accordance with Solutionz wiring diagrams and standards for quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all system drawings to be sure of accuracy.
• Mark up needed changes and coordinate with project Designers for updates.
• Ensure all equipment racks are properly loaded and wired in accordance with system wiring diagrams.
• Setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment in the equipment racks and, if possible, external devices as required to produce fully functional systems.
• Meet with the client/consultant to demonstrate system functionality if required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
