Project Manager (NSI)

Goals and Outcomes: Acts as the primary point of contact responsible for project implementation within the defined schedule, scope, and budget of the contract.  Clear, consistent, and frequent communications with all internal and external stakeholders to meet the goal of a high level of customer satisfaction and timely completion. Quality assurance and testing of contracted installations.

Essential Functions

  • Lead planning and implementation of projects assuring that it meets and exceeds Solutionz standards and satisfies the project scope.
  • Forecast revenue recognition for the lifecycle of the project.
  • Sales order approval following detailed review of project documents.
  • Schedule and lead internal kickoff meetings.
  • Engage customers to understand and set client expectations of deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
  • Responsible for assembling the project staff and monitoring subcontractor performance throughout project.
  • Complete site survey to confirm equipment placement and clearances.
  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.
  • Release equipment for purchase at appropriate times to ensure arrival prior to installation date without allowing product to be warehoused more than 30 days.
  • Maintain project and resource schedule.
  • Complete and submit internal change orders. These will be constantly maintained throughout the project.
  • Initiate the invoicing process at the appropriate stage in project completion.
  • Provide feedback, to AR, for timely PayApp submissions.
  • Manage the implementation of client projects through the judicious application of the Solutionz project lifecycle procedures.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is given to the installer in advance of the installation start date.
  • Report active project status as requested by external customers and monthly for internal customers.

  • Be respectful in the care and handling of all company and client owned resources.

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • 5 years of experience in project management or coordination working on projects that are inclusive of network, infrastructure, access control and IP video surveillance offerings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, college or trade school-level education or equivalent experience is a plus, not a requirement.
  • PMP preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite, including a strong Excel knowledge.
  • Basic level CAD and/or Visio experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the associated hardware, software (Physical and Cloud Based), and equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with - S2, RS2, LENEL Milestone (certification(s) welcomed).
  • Knowledge of server, storage, and networking architectures.
  • Familiarity and understanding of AV design production in AV floor plans, riser plans, elevations, sectionals, system, and control diagrams and writing specifications a plus.
  • Possess and maintain an excellent understanding of security and A/V best practices, a plus.
  • Ability to convey technical viewpoints to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings (architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think and work independently and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with field personnel, management, and customers.
  • Occasional afterhours and/or travel may be required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
