IT Systems Administrator

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the company’s network, applications and computing hardware are available and functioning with minimal downtime while maintaining security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform computing equipment setup and configuration for new hires
  • Grant and restrict access to company applications and technology resources
  • Install software for various on premise and cloud-based software programs
  • Work with vendors for outages and software license purchases
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software to maintain business continuity
  • Support the team during major outages and large improvement projects
  • Recommend and execute minor system improvements
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders on changes
  • Work closely with the team for ticket handling, continual improvement and learning new systems and processes
  • Stay up to date with current industry trends and obtain training as required 


  • 3 years relevant experience or 1-2 years of experience with a technology degree from accredited university or technical school
  • Proficient knowledge and hands on experience with networking, computer upgrades, software installation and troubleshooting
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Basic planning and organizational skills
  • The ability to provide a positive customer experience when resolving helpdesk tickets
