Pexip Bridges Microsoft Lync with Traditional Video Conferencing

Posted by Chessie Skates on Mar 18, 2014 9:01:00 AM

Pexip announces its integration with Microsoft Lync with traditional video conferencing systems. The Pexip Infinity version 4 will simply link everyone together and transcode through this scalable virtualized multipoint conferencing platform. It will provide native interoperability with Microsoft Lync 2010, 2013 and Lync Online/Office 365. It allows organizations to collaborate and share data and presentations between virtually any enterprise video endpoint and any Lync client.

Pexip Infinity purely encompasses Lync's capabilities by providing Virtual Meeting Rooms for anyone in the organization, while maintaining HD video quality for large conferencing. Members can connect via WebRTC without any browser plugins. Pexip Infinity version 4 features support for H.264 SVC (used by Lync 2013), RTVideo (used by Lync 2010), and RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) content sharing (used by all versions of Lync) and transcodes them to any of the other protocols it currently supports (SIP, H.323, and WebRTC). In other words- Pexip Infinity bridges the protocol and interoperability gap between traditional video conferencing and Microsoft Lync.
