Q: What Is a Video Call?

A: A video call is a call between two or more people that includes both a moving video image and audio. It can take place between dedicated video conferencing equipment or between two computers. A video call can operate on one or more of the following devices:

• Video conferencing equipment
• Personal computer (PC)
• Video telephone
• PDA, pocket PC, or handheld device
• Cell phones with picture and/or video capability

Q: What is Distance Education?

A: Distance Education is an instructional strategy/program where the instructor and student are separated by physical space and/or time. A variety of educational media can be employed, from workbooks/assignments (sent by mail or email), to web-based learning environments, to high-end room-sized integrated video conferencing systems. Some employ synchronous teaching/learning techniques, other employ asynchronous teach/learning techniques.
