The Public Health Emergency Response is a $260 million fund that awards 62 grants with funding dollar amounts distributed by states. Current eligible applicants include State Health Departments or their bona fide agents.

The funding supports and enhances the state and local public health infrastructure that is critical to public health preparedness and response, such as strengthening and sustaining the public health workforce.
