How Would You Spend Your GREEN Savings?
We all know that video conferencing is one of the greenest technologies out there. And by green we don't just mean environmentally sustainable, we also mean putting green ("money") back in your pocket — saving travel expenses and time, and enhancing productivity, all of which translate into hard dollar savings. So our question to you is: How would you spend your GREEN savings?
Tell us how you would spend your GREEN savings, and the most innovative answer will win a desktop video conferencing system that includes a HP Mini Netbook with Polycom PVX Video Conferencing Software! The Go GREEN Challenge runs from October 1, 2009 - December 31, 2009.

We would be able to transform our current video conference room into a two room usability study room. Our system is large and cumbersome and has old technology. Having a portable system would make a huge difference in how our video conferencing was done. It's always a fight to keep the room for it's video conferencing use right now!
Thank you!

I would put it back into building and maintaining the Tracy Virtual Office coworking location in the heart of Tracy, CA (http://TracyVirtualOffice.com). As you may know, Tracy is commuter heaven and the source of much Bay Area traffic. Coworking = telecommuting = telework = GREEN.
Get the folks off the roads, reduce harmful emissions, encourage companies to telecommute = cowork = telework.
The best way to see the whites of your employee's eyes to make sure they are working? Videoconferencing!
We have H.323 desktop here for those who need to VC with a standards based system from the TVO. (Polycom PVX).

To further advance smart interactive technologies in rural areas supporting the growing telecommute workforce and enabling business to trim costs by employing and moving proffesionals to lower cost of living areas.
Video Conferencing would not onl;y cut costs for travel, but enable instant meeting capabilities during this shifting economic time. Our organization enables communities to expand economically while balancing their unique living opportunities with green technology.
We would consider additional demonstration and commenting opportunities should we win this challenge.
Thank you for enabling us to enable the world!

How would i spend my green savings? In the sprit of making the world a lil better, one step at a time.... I would spend the money to convert my car into a clean green fry oil burning machine. Then If i won this contest I would drive it to California from Virginia to claim my HP Mini Netbook with Polycom PVX Video Conferencing Software instead of having to use all those resources that are used when shipping a package.
