Solutionz Announces GP$'s E-Rate Grant Promotion

BRENTWOOD, CA, September 21, 2009 – Solutionz Conferencing, Inc., a nationwide leader in video conferencing, audio visual integrations, managed services, and grant services announced today that their grant division, Solutionz Grant Program Services (GP$), will focus on helping eligible customers win the Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund, commonly known as “E-Rate”.

E-Rate is a $2.25 billion grant program administered by the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC) under the direction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). E-Rate provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and internet access.

Eligible schools, libraries, or school districts may apply for funding individually or as part of a consortium under one of the following four categories of service: telecommunications services, internal connections, Internet access, and basic maintenance of internal connections. The funding covers from 20% to 90% of the costs of eligible services and are granted based on the level of poverty and the urban/rural status of the population served.

Although E-Rate is a valuable and often times critical source of technology funding, its ever-increasing complexity is causing schools to miss out. As a result, Solutionz is offering all eligible customers the Solutionz E-Rate Promotion – a complimentary consultation with the Solutionz GP$ team, which secures funding for the implementation of new, or the improvement of existing, video communications technology. Solutionz GP$ is headed by Kristin DeProspero, former Polycom Grant Assistance Program Director, who has more than 20 years of grant experience.
